GAMES
These are the games we´ve used in P.E. lessons to practice the following concepts: ENDURANCE, SPEED, FORCE and FLEXIBILITY. The games and their basic rules are:
- Pilla-pilla: YOU´RE IT! or TAG!
A group of players decide who is going to be "it". The player selected to be "it" then chases the others, attempting to get close enough to tag them—a touch with the hand—while the others try to escape. A tag makes the tagged player "it" (in some variations, the previous "it" is no longer "it", while in others, both players are still "it", and the game ends when all players are "it"). The game can continue indefinitely.
- El pañuelo: THE LITTLE HANDKERCHIEF
Divide the group in two teams. They stand some in front of the others, to a distance around twenty meters. The referee is in the middle of them, and is holding the handkerchief with his/her arm outstretched, so both teams are able to see it. Each player has a different number. The referee says aloud a random number. At
this moment, two children run to the handkerchief. S/he must catch the hanky and arrive to his/her team before the another catches him/her.
